It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doris Cooper announce her passing on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Sylvia (Garry) Crewe, Geraldine (Harvey) St. Croix, Glen (Judy) Cooper, Sharon Cooper, Iris (Bertrand) Savoie and Perry (Ann Marie) Cooper; grandchildren: Carolyn, Stephanie, Jason, Aimee, Lindsey, Ryan, Andrew, Hilary, Heather and Justin; 15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Greta Critch; brother-in-law Ed Somers; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Gerald Cooper, daughter Sherry Lee, sisters and brother Norma, Claude, Carrie and Marie. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
