Eix, Doris Shirley (Jank)
Peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 93 years.
Beloved wife of Harry Eix (2018) for 54 years. Dear mother of Karen and Perry Weber of Elmira, and Brian Eix of Floradale. Sister of Ethel (Ron) Collins of Walkerton, Bruce (Judy) of Burlington, and Keith (Helen) of Calgary. Sister-in-law of Myrtle Jantzi of Levittown, PA, and Lorraine Fischer of Kitchener.
Predeceased by her parents Fred and Gertrude (Bittorf) Jank.
Doris and Harry built a life together on their dairy farm on Floradale Road, raising their family and creating many memories. After 48 years on the farm they retired to Elmira. Doris was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A family interment will be held in Elmira Union cemetery on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 1 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 27 Mill St., Elmira with reception to follow.
In her memory, donations to Grand River Hospital Foundation or the Woolwich Community Services would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
