Doreen Rossi (nee Hale) died exactly as she wished, at her home on the lake in Port Britain on Tuesday September 19, 2023 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her loving husband Peter and by her dear son Christopher. Dearly missed by sons Paul (Christine) and Kevin (Janice), grandchildren; Alexander Rossi (Courtney), Angela Hogan (Noah), Jennifer Finn (Benjamin), Katrina Rossi and Laura Rossi, step- grandchildren Rob (Shannon), Jordan and Andrew Scott and great grandchildren London, Jack, Claire and Charli.
Doreen was a firecracker who lived her life with determination and enthusiasm. She was the life of the party, enjoying travel, life long friendships, dancing, her afternoon glass of wine and every moment with her beloved Peter.
Doreen was an inspiration for many with her countless volunteer activities some of which were: The Cancer Society, Rotary, Blood Donor Clinics, pool therapy and ushering at the Capitol Theater. She continued to volunteer her time and amazing energy until Covid arrived.
Visitation will be held at Ross Funeral Home in Port Hope on Friday, October 6th from 3-5 pm. The funeral service will be held at Port Hope United Church on Saturday, October 7 at 11 am.
Memorial donations may be made if desired to the Port Hope and District Health Care Foundation for the resurrection of the local walk in clinic.
