Peacefully, at home, on Sunday, February 11, 2024, in her ninety-third year. Extremely devoted wife of Allan Korzinstone for over seventy-two years. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Dr. Clifford and Milly Korzinstone, Dr. Ronald and Heidi Korzinstone, Karen and Lionel Dubrofsky. Proud Bubby of her grandchildren, Michael and Jamie Korzinstone, Carla and Rob Vineberg, Andrew and Elana Dubrofsky, Lauren Korzinstone, Randi and Justin Beeby, Dr. Lisa and Jordan Korenzvit, Philip and Robyn Dubrofsky. Proud great-grandmother of Cole, Zoë, Maya, Ethan, Lesley, Danielle, Eva, Liam and Charlotte. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Lillian and the late Mortimer Hopkins, Carol and the late Dr. Seymour Miller, the late Lou and the late Joyce Miller.
Dora was ahead of her time. She graduated from McGill University in 1951 with a BA, and after having her three children, returned to earn a Masters degree. She helped countless children and families, providing and overseeing psychological support services in her over 30 years at Solomon Schechter Academy and the North Island Regional School Board. She also established the Jewish Singles’ Registry and made many successful shiduchs. Dora was a cherished advisor and confidante to her relatives and friends over the years. In her final years, she was resolute in caring for her husband Allan in their home. Special thanks to Gina, Daryl, Emilou and Ella for their compassionate care.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, February 13 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem Congregation Cemetery, Tifereth Jerusaelm Section, de la Savane. Shiva at her home.
