Donald Myles Deighton Obituary
Sadly we announce the passing of Donald Myles Deighton, age 91, of Waterloo on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Parkwood Mennonite Home surrounded by family and loved ones.
He leaves behind, his four daughters; Pam Fraser (Mark), Sue Marcella (Nick), Kathy Shaw and Barb Mikel. Predeceased by his wife Patricia in 2020.
Don was a bank manager for many years and transferred to many different towns and cities in Quebec and Ontario with his growing family during his career. Wanting to set down permanent roots, he moved to Seaforth with his family and bought and ran a Stedmans store with his wife Pat until they retired, sold the store and moved to Stratford. There they remained for many happy years.
Also left behind are his grandkids; Kristi, Jason, Jen, Jared, Danielle, Alex, Amanda and Emily and five great grandchildren. Also surviving him are his siblings; Pat McDonald, Heather Harwood (Steve), Sandra Arsenault (Arsene) and LeeAnn Post (Dave). Predeceased by his brother Robert.
A private family celebration of life will be held at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford. Interment in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford.
