Murray Machan, 87, of Monkton passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
Beloved husband of Lenora Machan. Dear father of Dennis Machan (Lida), Colleen Pestell and Valerie Smith (Willie). Loving grandfather of Yvonne Weyers (Curtis), Ashley Newbigging (Brody), Derek Machan (Torie); Catherine Pryce (Brent); Cara Burns (Justin) and Corey Frank (Will). Cherished great grandfather of eleven great grandchildren. He will be missed by the Osborn family and his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his son-in-law Garry Pestell, parents William and Lillian Machan, sisters Mary Helen Machan and Pauline Dickson.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Wednesday, September 25 from 10 – 10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in North Logan Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Monkton Kinsmen Club – Playground Equipment (by e-transfer to monktonkinsmen1979@gmail.com) or Listowel Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
