In loving memory of Donald McKee Stewart (Don), who peacefully passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 88, at Blackadar Continuing Care Centre. Don was predeceased by his cherished wife of over 45 years, Lynne Stewart; his parents, Martha and Franklin Stewart; his twin brother, Douglas Stewart; and his older brother, Franklin Stewart. He is survived by his daughter, Victoria Silva (née Stewart); son-in-law, Manuel Silva; son, Scott Stewart; and cherished grandchildren: Leah, Joey, Sean, Justin, and Summerlea; as well as eight wonderful great-grandchildren.
Don was a unique character—funny, sarcastic, and mischievous. He never minced words, and you never had to guess what was on his mind because he would tell you. He loved his winter vacations in Mexico, spending time on the water on his boat, and touring the Toronto Islands with his wife, Lynne, family, and friends. He enjoyed the company of many friends at the Cathedral Bluffs Yacht Club and Port Credit Yacht Club and insisted on returning to his boat to live aboard each summer.
His presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew him, and his absence will be deeply felt by those whose lives he touched.
A private celebration of life will be held for his family and close friends near the water this summer. Date to be determined.
