After a long and determined battle with a rare form of leukemia, Donald Livingstone Tulloch passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, with his loving and dedicated wife Charlene by his side. Don will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Charlene, his daughter Lisa Cianci (Charlie), his stepdaughters Megan (Kevin) and Madison (Brandon), and his grandchildren Kyle, Riley, Oliver, and Quinn.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Liv and Jean Tulloch, and his children Sarah and David. Don leaves behind his sister Marilyn, niece Susan, and nephew Stephen.
During his final weeks, Don enjoyed many visits with good friends, colleagues and family. He especially enjoyed the many visits with Mike and Ed.
Don was a leader in the home-building industry for many years. After graduating with a business degree from Western, Don started his career with Matthews Group, owned his own company, and finally finished his career as Vice President at Z Group and Ashbury Homes. He was very proud of his accomplishments as President of LHBA in 1979.
Don had an incredible sense of humour and enjoyed telling stories of his wonderful life, with many stories about golf, boating, and fishing. He was incredibly appreciative of Charlene for her amazing patience and care for him in the final years and days of his life.
Special thanks to Dr. Saini and staff, along with all of the nurses at the LHSC Cancer Center. Thank you also to Dr. McKee and Dr. Mount at Victoria Hospital’s 7th floor for their care as they helped us transition to palliative care and to the hospice. Special thank you to Nurse Practioner Fran, and Social Worker Deb for their support of both Don and the family.
Charlene and Lisa are grateful for the wonderful care he received at St. Joseph’s Hospice of London. The nurses and support staff were invaluable to both Don and Charlene during his final days.
As per Don’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice of London and a blood donation would be a wonderful testament to his life.
