It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Edward Wilson, who passed away
June 21, 2023 at Cornwall Community Hospital at the age of 91.
Son of the late William and Mary (nee Carson) Wilson, born January 4, 1932 in Carrying Place,
Northumberland County. Brother to the late Ken Wilson (Bev), Merna Esdale (Earl), and his adopted
sister Suzanne MacDonald (Brian) .
Beloved husband of Myra Jane Wilson (nee Eamer) for 61 years. Father of Brent Wilson, Dave
Wilson (Dawn), and Jeff Wilson (Sandra), and grandfather of Natasha, Johnny and Jeremy.
Don’s humour and gentle disposition made him loved by all, both family and friend. Don and Myra
were always together and showed their love for each other right to the end. He loved his three boys
equally, with pride in each of their abilities.
Don worked at Courtaulds, and then moved into the family business of Wilson Auto Parts, over 50
years in business, where he worked with his father, brother, son and wife.
Don loved good music, a long drive, and a good dinner with a beer and a good wine. Many hours were
spent around the table with family and friends.
Don will be missed by many.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON
