It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Rohr, peacefully surrounded by his family, on October 5, 2024 at the age of 80 years. Beloved husband for 56 years to Nancy. Loving father of Rob (Loraine), and Kim Rocha (Luie). Dear grandpa of Hayley, Melanie, Emily, Michael, Ashley, and Erica. Great grandpa of Mackenzie. Dear brother of Eileen Knox (Doug). Brother-in-law of Tom Mountain. Predeceased by his brother Bob Rohr, brothers-in-law Larry Mountain and Larry Hand, and sisters-in-law Julie Mountain and Ruth Hand. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Don was a retired employee of Stelco after 37 years of service. He will be lovingly remembered for his love of baseball, curling, golfing and fishing trips with his buddies.
Visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947 Rymal Road East on Monday, October 7th from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 8th at 11am. Burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Assistance Program or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made to www.baygardens.ca
