Don was the second child of Steve and Mary Arsenie, born in Melfort, SK on February 18, 1953.
Growing up on a farm, there was always chores to do and as he always said, nothing else happened until those chores were completed.
Don loved to play sports, especially hockey and fastball. He was so proud to be a team member of the Gronlid Flyers when they won the Intermediate ‘A’ Provincial Fast Ball Championship in 1972.
He was an outgoing guy and his passion for love and life led to many lifelong friendships. His sense of pride and dedication served him well in everything he did, a testament to a 35 year career with the Credit Union. He was a firm believer in the motto “Measure twice, cut once”.
In his retirement years Don’s passions turned to spending more time with his children and more importantly the grandchildren, travelling, golf, keeping a pristine yard, happy hours with friends and family, farming, and being an all around handy man. All the kids can attest tot the “Daddy Do List” that was waiting for him when they knew he was coming to visit!
Don is survived by his wife June, his daughter Kaley (Eldon McLeod) and their sons Reese and Gage. His son Jeff (Natalie Potratz) and his daughter Megan (Darren Mitchell) and their daughters Charlee and Finley. Also by his parents Steve and Mary Arsenie and his siblings; Bernie (Debbie), Myron (Theresa), Janet (Andrew Hawrysh), Alice (Liden McFarlane) as well as many nieces and nephews.
We wish to thank everyone for all the prayers, love and support received while Don battled this short, yet tragic illness.
