It is with broken hearts the family of Dinarte Pereira announces his peaceful passing after a courageous battle with cancer, on August 2, 2024 at the age of 50, with his loving wife by his side. Beloved husband of Suzzane Pereira of 27 years. Very proud and loving father to Janelle (Adain) and Jarrett.
Dinarte is the loving son of Lorena and the late Manuel Pereira. Dear son-in-law of Agostinho and Deolinda Pereira. Cherished brother of Griselda (Joao) Carvalho and brother-in-law of Jeff (Jessica) Pereira.
Dinarte will be sadly missed and always remembered by his many nieces; Isabel, Avery, Charlotte, Amanda, Bruna; his nephew Wilson, and many extended family and friends in Canada, USA and Portugal.
Dinarte was a jack of all trades, spending countless hours in his shop creating many new wood projects that he took great pride in showing his family and friends. Dinarte was a huge soccer fanatic and loved his team Benfica, which he always preferred to watch alone to fully concentrate on the game. Dinarte’s gardens and his grass was always in perfect condition, he was very meticulous. When the weather was perfect, you would see Dinarte hitting the road on his bike, with his kids on the back, or with his buddies alongside.
Dinarte is truly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Forever in our hearts.
Dinarte’s family wish to extend their gratitude and thanks to the entire palliative team at LHSC-Victoria, a special thanks to Kaitlyn and Shiva for their kindness and care. Also a special thank you to the VerspeetenFamily Cancer Centre.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 at 11:00a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, Strathroy. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Chiros Care Foundation. (Cheques made to the Chiros Care Foundation).
