In Loving Memory of Dina Maculate Ciardullo (DeLonghi)
The family announces with deepest sorrow the passing of Dina Ciardullo (DeLonghi). She went to God peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa on Friday, October 11th, 2024 at the age of 92 years.
Beloved wife of Joseph Ciardullo (predeceased 2009). Loving mother of Candace Lauzon (Jean-Yves Bujold) (Jean-Pierre Lauzon, predeceased 1997), Joyce (predeceased 2001), Danny (predeceased 2023), and Linda. Cherished grandma of Paul, Vincent (Kylee) and Marc (Danielle) Lauzon. Adored great-grandma to McKenzie and Martin. Daughter of Marco and Candida (Semenzin) DeLonghi (both predeceased). Sister of Gianino DeLonghi (predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A devout Roman Catholic, Dina faithfully attended Christ the King Church. She was a dedicated and well-respected 70-year member of the Catholic Women’s League holding various executive positions. As her faith was very important to her, she initiated the praying of the rosary before daily masses. Dina immensely enjoyed singing in church choirs and supporting a variety of church activities. She will be remembered as a loving and strong woman, who accepted life’s challenges with God’s grace.
The focus of her life was her loving family. Dina was the happiest when she was surrounded by family and when preparing many delicious meals for all to enjoy (especially her pizza, lasagna and desserts). She took great pride and interest in their activities and accomplishments.
She is now our guardian angel as she hears God say “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter; yours is the Kingdom of Heaven”.
Resting at the Lougheed’s Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, at Hazel Street. (Friends may call between 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Tuesday October 15th, with Parish prayers being held at 3pm on Tuesday).
Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Church, at 30 Beech Street, Sudbury, on Wednesday October 16th, 2024 at 10am.
Interment in the Family plot at the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Christ the King Stair Restoration Campaign, or, the Alzheimer’s Society, or, to the St. Joseph’s Villa (Blanket Warmer) would be appreciated.
