With much sadness the family of Diane Warren announces her passing on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the Brockville General Hospital. She was 64 years old. She was the loving wife of Gary Warren, adoring mother to Sara and Whitney (Stephanie) and children Gianna and Quinn. She will be fondly remembered by her mother-in-law Verna Warren, her siblings Kim Gilligan (Pat) and children Bill Mallory (Jasmine) and Jack Mallory; her sister Shelly Firth (Paul Gardiner) and children Spencer and Shayna; Brother Kevin Firth (Ying) their children Christiah, Corey and Alex and her loving aunt Beatrice Gray. Diane will be missed by her brothers and sisters-in-law and their families; Brian Warren and children George and Gisele; Paul Warren and children Michael and Michelle; Wayne Warren and children Cody, Shay and Kierston; Mark Warren and children Taylor and Logan; Cathy Eide and children Jason, Rebecca and Derrick; Kenn Warren (Sue) and children Luc, Dustin, Zackary and Kassey; and Valerie Bigalow (Dan) and children Alex and Brooke; her brother-in-law Pete Guerin and children Amber and Kristy. She was predeceased by her parents Jerry and Joan Firth; her grandparents Ed and Violet Firn, Fred and Mae Firth and George and Katherian Debruge and her sister Jerilyn Guerin (Pete survives).
Diane was a very loving and giving person as a wife, mom, grandmother, sister and friend she always wanted to help others. Her final selfish act of giving was the gift of organ donation which will help six other people to have a better life. In Diane’s memory please consider signing your Organ Card. The Red Cross was one of her passions. She took a course as a PSW years ago to help care for others. She had a great love for fishing, gardening, and loved watching the show Survivor and I Love Lucy. She also had a great love for Butterflies and had told her daughter Whitney that when she passed, she wanted to come back as a butterfly.
A time of memories and celebration will be held at Maitland Education Recreation Centre (MERC), 120 E Mclean Boulevard, Maitland, ON, K0H 1P1 on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Casual dress is requested.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James St., E. Brockville. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or to the Liver Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
