WALLACE, Denyse (nee Piché)
May 31, 1958- June 23, 2024
Passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the age of 66. Reunited with her husband Bill Wallace (2023) with whom she shared 44 years. Loving mother of Ryan (Erika) Wallace. Cherished grandma of Cameron and Owen Wallace. Beloved daughter of the late Gerald Piché and May (Guy) Gallant. Only sister of Michael (late Judy), late Robert (1979), Donald (Wendy), late Peter (2005), Paul (Amy) and George (Sandra). Reunited with her beloved dog Mollie. Denyse will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Denyse was a dedicated employee of Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) for over 25 years.
In her free time, she liked scrap-booking, knitting and reading. She also loved to cook. Her family will especially miss her delicious perogies and cabbage rolls.
Denyse will be remembered for her big and caring heart. She always ensured the people she was close to were looked after and had everything they needed.
Denyse and Bill never hesitated to open their home to their friends and family. They were also billets for many years to several Windsor Spitfire hockey players. This was perfect for them as they shared their love of hockey together.
A special thank you to the entire team at Erie Shores Hospice and Devonshire Senior Residence- Windsor, for their excellent care and compassion.
In keeping with Denyse’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell St., Leamington (519-326-2631). In lieu of flowers, donations directed to Erie Shores Hospice or the Hospice of Windsor-Es County are greatly appreciated.
