Dennis Dobbin Obituary
With broken hearts the family of Dennis Francis Dobbin announce his passing on November 26, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born February 15, 1948, in Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Hilda Wagner.
Dennis drove taxi for most of his life in Halifax and Saint John. He loved a good action or western movie. Dennis was an avid crib player and loved to tell stories from his wild days and had the heartiest laugh especially when it came to the look on some of the faces, he was telling those stories to. He loved going on long drives with Bonnie and Cory or just having a conversation with his daughters or grand children. Dennis lived life the way he wanted, a little wild and carefree but always to the fullest.
Dennis is survived by his daughters Bonnie Jo (Darren) McDermott and Tammy Boudreau (Dan Moriarty); grandchildren: Ryan McDermott (Nakita Lunnie), Evan McDermott, Brandon Parsons, and Tasjah Boudreau; great-grand daughter Nya; as well as his best friend and crib partner Joel Down. Dennis was predeceased by his life partner Bonnie Handrahan and their son Cory Dobbin.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB E2J 2G3; (506) 646-2425. In respecting Dennis’s wishes cremation has taken place with a private graveside to be held in the spring.
