Obituary
Peacefully at Bridge Hospice on September 2, Dennis “Fletch” Fletcher in his 78th year. Predeceased by his parents Watson and Winnifred Fletcher and his brother Randall. Survived by Dorothy, his wife of 37 years, son Regan (Betty) and daughter Lanja. As well, his three grandsons Tyler, Brady and Sam who were the light of his life.
Fletch was a fourth-generation Torontonian who had a career travelling the world as an airline executive. It was only when he moved to the country that he discovered his best life. He built custom furniture as Hillcroft Woodworks, became an avid sailor and took up oil painting later in life. He volunteered for dozens and dozens of groups and organizations but the one he really put his heart and soul into was Quinte SailAbility, a sailing school for people with disabilities in Trenton. He was the Co-Founder and volunteer President for 18 years and it gave him great satisfaction to see it continue in Belleville.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Quinte SailAbility in his memory.
