Deborah Joyce Cloninger – age 75 of Strawberry Plains went to her heavenly home on Friday, June 2, 2023. Debbie was a Carter High Hornet, Class of 1968. She loved her Lord, family, friends and her Jax. She always enjoyed meeting and talking to people. Her forever smile and laughter were contagious, and she wanted everyone to be happy. Debbie found joy with the simple things in life. She was love and joy to everyone who knew her.
Preceded in death by father, Charles Cloninger; mother, Marjorie “Margie” Kirby Cloninger; son, Lester “Russ” Cloninger; and great nephew, Isaiah Brooks.
Survived by sister, Carla (Eddie) Nichols; granddaughter, Keely Cloninger; nieces, Lorissa (Cory) Brooks, Katie (Nicholas) Hodges and Baxter; great nephews, Connor, Hudson, and Grayson Brooks; and lifelong best friend, Linda Neubert.
The family will receive friends 5:30-7:00 PM on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Linden Baptist Church, 2341 Jefferson Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37917, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Wright officiating.
