With heavy hearts, we announce that Dawn went to be with her Lord on June 24, 2024, at the age of 76. She passed away peacefully with her loving husband and daughters by her side.
Dawn leaves to mourn her caring and doting husband Marcel of 49 years.
She was a loving mother to her daughters that she was so proud of, Dawna Lyne (Derek) and Melanie (Fred) and a wonderful nanny to her ‘‘precious gems’’, Maygan, Robin, Alaina, and Aubree.
She is survived by her sisters, Edith, twin Donna and brother Bobby (Margaret), brother-in-law Donald (Stella), Rivard (Debbie) along with her nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Dawn’s faith in the Lord has always been a source of her strength. She found great joy reading scripture and sharing its wisdom with those around her. Her biggest belief was “Thank God for the good, bad and always trust his will. He will never fail” and this was tested with all the trials she endured in her life. Her faith was simply remarkable, thus impacting all those around her.
She was not only the glue to her family, but also extended her warmth to many others by generously opening her home, sharing abundant food and providing comfort to all who entered.
As a mother, she taught us with tough love, moulding us into resilient individuals with hearts of lions, a strong sense of family love, and unwavering work ethic. These are the invaluable gifts she passed down, which we now have passed on to our children.
As a grandmother, she was a total softy with endless boundaries showering her grandchildren with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
She was our best friend confidant, pillar of strength, yet a soft shoulder to cry on.
It brings us comfort, knowing that she will always be watching over us.
Thank you to everyone who participated in her care, along with Dr. Basque.
Despite her deep love for her church family, she wished for a private ceremony with her family.
