It is with profound sadness that the family of Dave Perreault announces his tragic and sudden passing on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024.
Dave was the soulmate and lifelong partner of Jillian (nee Lemieux) for 14 years and the loving father of Jack and Josephine, his pride and joy. Dave was the beloved son of John and Judi Perreault and dear brother of Matt (Nathalie). He was the treasured son in-law of the late Joe and Lynne Lemieux, and beloved brother in-law to Tim (Kathie), Pat, Mark (Deanna), and the late Melanie. He will be greatly missed by his adoring nephews, Emmet, Liam and Quinn. He is survived by his cherished grandmother “Nanny” Jean Mitton (late Don, late Butch) and Auntie Toni (Paul) Singleton and loving cousins John, Daniel, Susan and Michael. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Tom and Lillian Grigsby. He will be deeply missed by his lifelong best friend, Taylor Donaldson.
Dave was a proud and accomplished licensed carpenter with ALCDSB for 7 years and was immensely proud to have been accepted into the Queen’s University Tech Ed Program with the Faculty of Education. He was so looking forward to fulfilling his vocation as a trades teacher. His talents and hobbies were many and varied; musician, magician, avid reader, and his creative mind knew no limits. His sense of humour, kindness and friendship will be sorely missed. Dave leaves behind countless memories as he truly made an impact on those blessed to have known him.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 1-4 pm & 6-9 pm at the Wartman Funeral Home – Napanee. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Napanee on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11 am. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment St Patrick’s Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that expressions of sympathy be made through a donation to an Educational Trust for Jack and Josephine. Donations to this trust can be made by direct deposit to perreaulteducationtrust@gmail.com.
