It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of David
Harold Irving of New Maryland, NB on December 22nd, 2023, at York Care
Center. He was 79. Born in Chatham, and raised in
Douglasfield, NB, he was the son of the late Havelock and Ella
(Walting) Irving.
David was an avid carpenter, he enjoyed making furniture and
shelving. He loved to watch sports. David worked
for the Bank of Montreal for many decades. He worked in
several different cities in his career including Chatham, Bathurst,
Toronto, Kentville, Yarmouth, Halifax and Fredericton before his
retirement in 1997.
David will be deeply missed by his wife of 58 years Charlene,
their children Brian (Jill) and Jonathan (Nicole), 6 cherished
grandchildren, Benjamin, Sophie, Natalie, Erik, Aiton and
Lily. Special cousins, Lea, Shirlee and
Cathy.
A Funeral Service will be held from Holy Trinity Anglican
Church, Nasonworth on Friday December 29th2023 at 2 PM with Rev.
Robert McLean officiating. A reception to follow with time
of fellowship in the Church Hall. Interment to take place at
a later date in St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery.
A special thank you to the staff at York Care Center Tower 2
for all the care and compassion given and shown to David and his
family during his time with them.
Donations in David’s memory may be made to the Holy
Trinity Church Building Fund, York Care Centre & Foundation or
the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the
family.
Bishop’s Funeral Home, Fredericton have been
entrusted with the arrangements.
