Remembering David
It is with broken hearts that the family of David Fulton Murray, age 65, announces the passing of a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend in the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche on August 3, 2023.
Born in Tatamagouche, he was the son of the late Leonard and Hazel (Langille) Murray.
David was known as a hard worker. In earlier years, he worked in Alberta on the Oil Fields and later with Will-Kare Paving for 35 years. Travelling with Liz, especially trips down south, farming, antique cars and motorcycles, especially Harley-Davidsons kept David very busy. He was a well-liked person who made friends wherever he went.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Liz (Craig); his brothers, Danny (Cindy), Dale (Angela), Dana (Karen); sister, Darlene (Campbell) Foote, all of Tatamagouche; many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; special aunt, Pearl Charman; brothers in law, Jim (Nancy), Pictou, Brian (Maurita), Scotch Hill, Sandy (Alice), Lyons Brook; sisters in law, Betty Craig, River John, Irma (Murray) LeGrow, River John, Heather (Sandy) Peddie, Orangeville, Ontario.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Trevor; father and mother-in-law, Donnie and Sadie Craig; brother-in-law, Doug Craig.
A special appreciation to Dr. Anna Roebuck and all of the staff at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital as well as to Martha Ferguson, affectionately known by David as “his princess!” David’s love for his family, his smile, his kind heart and good nature will make it so hard for his family to not miss him each and every day. He leaves a void in their hearts that will never be filled.
A Private Burial will be held in The Falls Cemetery. Donations in David’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
