Parcourez la nécrologie de David Dave Stevens 1962 2023 résidant dans la province Nouveau-Brunswick pour le détail des funérailles
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden
passing of David Ross Stevens on May 31, 2023, at the Moncton City
Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Ray and Peggy Stevens and
survived by his wife Kim, his daughter Gabrielle, along with his
sister Gail, his brother Richard, and his nephew
Tyler.
Dave was passionate about many things in his 60 years
of life, starting as a young boy sleeping in his skates and hockey
equipment just dreaming of becoming an NHL player, to his football
career which he loved so much that he chose to stay an extra year in
high school, as he could not give it up. During his adulthood, he
turned to body building, and spent many hours at the gym which
grounded him during his studies at university. He was also known to be
an avid sailor and loved racing in the Bay of Shediac with his Savy,
Rossignol and Simpsons crew. David loved travelling with his wife and
beloved daughter. They visited many wonderful places together and
created cherished memories that will live
on.
He was driven and passionate about everything he did
and more recently was proud to become a club de nation bleu et or
(CNBO) swimmer parent. He was so determined to learn all about the
sport, as he wanted to give his best girl all of the opportunities for
her to excel to her full potential. A testament to his devotion as a
loving and caring father.
Other than his family, his shinning jewel would be
his career at the Government of Canada Pension Centre. Reflecting back
on his career, he worked his way up from being a mail room clerk to
becoming a successful Director General. This was his dream come true
and he devoted himself to the organization and its people. Through his
leadership and resilience, he built a client service culture. His wish
was always to see the Pension Centre being recognized nationally as an
exemplary pension plan administrator, providing unmatched client
service in a friendly Maritime
way.
David had just recently completed his 35th year as a
loyal and dedicated public servant. On the day of his passing, he
received words of recognition from high-ranking officials who stated:
‘the Pension Centre is the best-run service delivery program
in the federal government’. He expressed to his wife that
this recognition was ‘a direct result of our caring and
service driven employees from past to present`. David was so very
proud of Pension Centre employees and to be an employee himself of
such a great organization. His leadership, friendship and storytelling
will be sincerely missed by all who had the opportunity to know
him.
A reception to celebrate Dave’s full but
too short journey of life will be held on June 10, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm
at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street,
Shediac. In memory of David, donations can be
made to the Greater Shediac Sailing School Inc. This will help them
with their rejuvenation project, all in support of future sailors for
The Simpsons or any other
boat!
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of
Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac
