Died peacefully with family by his side at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the age of 88.
Dave, of Collingwood was the beloved husband for 70 years to Frances “Frankie” (nee Cooper). Loving father of Richard (Barb), Dennis, George, late Connie, late Terry and Shelley (Rick). Cherished grandfather of Mark, Chris, Nicole, Krystle, Lee, Tara, Sabrina, Shannon, Shauna, Sheena, Megan, Melissa, Kayla, Carly, Stephen, Matt, Angela, late Vanessa, Amanda, Chris and treasured great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather to many. Dave will also be lovingly remembered by his extended family and many friends.
At Dave’s request, cremation has taken place with arrangements entrusted to Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 3 p.m. in the games room at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 63, 490 Ontario Street, Collingwood. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dave to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
