In Loving Memory of a Life that will never be forgotten:
DAVID COWAN
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected but peaceful passing
of David Cowan on April 30, 2024. His mother, his long-term partner; Eric Hopkins and
his Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Cliff Read, were at his side.
He was the much loved son of Janina Cowan and was predeceased by his father, Steven.
David will be missed by his sister; Michelle and her husband, Joe Evans, as well as his
cousins; Matt Read and Joanna Watt and the rest of his extended family, including his
grandmothers. David had a large circle of friends who often relied on him for planning
entertaining social activities.
David had a curious nature and demonstrated a wide knowledge of fascinating facts and
stories. He will be remembered for his sense of humour and his mischievous smile.
The family would like to thank all those who reached out and provided us with love and support.
Cremation has taken place and there is a tentative date for a Celebration of Life being planned
for Friday, July 26 – which would have been David’s 41st Birthday. Please watch for more details
that will be provided closer to the date and will be updated here. We hope that people attending,
will share their memories of David.
David was a unique and interesting man, who will not be forgotten by his loving family and friends.
