Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved David “Dave” Charles Peter Noftall of Grand Falls Windsor, NL. Dave, 77, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 9, 2024.
Dave was born on September 2, 1946 in St. John’s, NL, and was a faithful member of the Anglican Church. On August 9,1969, he married his soulmate and love of his life, Maureen (Bradbury) Noftall. Anyone that knew Dave, knew his family was his whole world. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Maureen, as well as son, Shawn (Paula) of Abercrombie, NS; daughter, Janet of Halifax,NS; daughter, Christa (Ryan) of Abercrombie, NS; and two grandchildren, Erin and Jack. He loved them immensely, and he will never be forgotten.
He was predeceased by his father, Clarence Noftall; mother, Madeline Noftall; brother, Dennis Noftall and sister, Janice Noftall.
Dave worked for 32 years at Abitibi Price in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Aside from spending time with his family, he enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved gardening, walking on the Corduroy Brook Nature Trail, and his wood stove. He had a saying for every situation, and was known for his great advice “The main thing is not to worry!” His sense of humour and positive outlook on life will be missed.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
The public visitation will be take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2-3 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
There will be no funeral service. A private interment will take place at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
