Darrin Desilets passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Oct. 25th at the age of 51. Soulmate and loving partner to Julia. The most amazing father to Jilian and loved and adored by Olivia and Lauren. Loving son of Bob Desilets and the late Patti Desilets. Cherished and loved brother and best friend to Donny Desilets (Beth Desilets). Loved brother-in-law to Dan and Tina Horton, Damian and Sylvia Iamarino, Anthony and Maria Iamarino, and Connie and Pat Dion. Adored uncle to Mason, Averi, Alycia, Daniel, Nicolas, Steven, Lucas, Natalie, Emily, Christina, Jeremy, and their partners. Great uncle to Nolan, Maddyn, Cooper, Kyra, and Luke. He will also be missed by his fur babies Maggie and Louise.
Darrin was a teddy bear of a man who was genuine and kind. He loved playing golf and having beers with his brother. He also loved watching his favourite team, the Steelers. Darrin was often found working on endless projects with his dad or laughing with family and friends. Darrin worked at the Niagara Falls Casino for 20+ years and was loved by many coworkers. Darrin loved to watch his daughter play ringette either on the sideline or on the bench, as coach. He was someone who was always willing to take risks and wasn’t afraid to live life to the fullest. He was a man of many talents and was a self-proclaimed gourmet chef and artist (in his own mind).
His greatest accomplishment is his daughter and the incredible woman she has become.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. He will forever be missed and never forgotten.
