Obituary of Darrell Ezra Lowe
Peacefully at home where he wanted to be in Winsloe on Monday Dec. 30, 2024 Darrell Ezra Lowe, formerly of Murray River, passed away with the love of his family at his side to guide him, age 85 years. Beloved Dad to Mischa, Cathy and Deanna. Greatest poppie to Mikkaela, Anikka, Darric, Cameron, Cory and Alayah who were all his greatest joy. Brother of June Sencabaugh, Sandra King (Laird), Doris White and Mary Lou MacLeod (Allan). Brother-in-law of Flo Lowe. Darrell is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, his coffee buddies and many extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Lulu (Beck) Lowe: his siblings John, Catherine Collings (Doug) and Waldo “Bud” and by his brothers-in-law Grant Sencabaugh and Winston White. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford from where a visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-2:45 pm followed by a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 3pm. Interment in Highfield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made online to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. Darrell’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the members of the Integrated Palliative Care Team who supported them and allowed them to grant dads wish to be at home during his final hours. A special thanks to nurses Bethanie and Ian for their compassionate care and guidance; Island EMS for their help the last few weeks; Dr Stott, Dr. O’Neill and Dr Carmichael for their excellent care and compassion during dads stay in hospital.
