1959-2023
Passed away peacefully at his residence on November
22nd, 2023, at the age of 64, Danny Dugas of
Campbellton. Born on May 29th, 1959,
he was the son of the late Myrtle Savoy of Dalhousie and the late
Léopold (Paul) Dugas of Nouvelle,
Qc.
He is survived by his two beloved sons, whom he cherished
like the apple of his eye, Patrick (Marie-Claude Chiasson) of
Montreal; Jacques (Mylène Comeau) of Campbellton; his wife
and mother of his children Chantal Duguay of Campbellton; a sister
Debbie Dugas from Escuminac, QC.
He will be missed by his close family and many longtime
friends who have loved and respected him for so many
years.
A great music enthusiast, especially of blues, he was known
for his zest for life and his ability to forge strong connections with
all who crossed his path. Danny was a devoted father, a
loving husband, a loyal friend, and an exceptional brother. Despite
the illness that affected his health for so many years, he showed
remarkable courage. He chose to bid farewell with dignity and strength
surrounded by his family who loved him so much.
At Danny’s request, family and friends are invited
to a Celebration of his life to pay him a final tribute. The family
will be honoured to welcome guests for the ceremony held November
24th, 2023, at the Alma Hall in Atholville,
starting at 2 pm. Lunch and refreshments will be served. The family
would like to express gratitude to Dre. Vona McMillan for providing
him the quality care and fulfilling his final wishes and all the
friends and family who visited and left beautiful messages of love and
deep affection for Danny. A donation to the Heart
and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
