Remembering Danny
Daniel Ryan Dillman “Danny” – 63, Tatamagouche, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on August 19th, 2023 in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche.
Born in Tatamagouche, he was a son of Lewis Cyril Dillman and Norma Jean (Tattrie) Dillman.
Danny was gifted with the ability to operate and repair anything mechanical, starting at the age of 12. He could easily change a motor in any vehicle. You could also find him on the farm working, especially during the harvest season. He worked for many years with Cumberland Paving as a heavy equipment operator as well as numerous other jobs in the area. In later years, Danny worked on a lobster boat – which was a job that he truly enjoyed and loved. In earlier years, he was an avid hunter and had a passion for muscle cars, motorcycles and snowmobiles.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Lloyd David Tattrie “Fiddling Lloyd” and Mary Ann Tattrie (Wright). Surviving are his parents, Cyril Dillman, St. John’s, NFLD and Norma (Tattrie), Amherst; his brother, David Dillman, Lake Echo; niece, Brittany Dillman, Fredericton, NB.
As per his wishes, his remains will be cremated and scattered at sea. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche.
