After a lengthy battle with lung disease, Danny Brawn passed away June 1st at Toronto General Hospital with his wife Debbie of 40 yrs by his side.
Predeceased by his parents Howard and Jenny Brawn, he is survived by his wife Debbie; and his siblings Rod (Tina), Tom, Gayne, Barbara and Laura. Also left to mourn “Crazy Uncle Danny” are Mathew & David Brawn, Jennifer & Michael Neve, Sydney & Roslyn Addison-Rudat, Claire Girvan and Jacob Addison. His loss will be felt by his in-laws Arthur and Jean Addison, Pennie, and Joey Addison. Also, he will be missed by many lifelong friends and their children that he loved like his own. Especially his god daughter Halley Trusler who was an immense joy and support in those final days.
Born in Port Colborne, moved to Sarnia at 12 yrs old, then his married life was spent between The Beach in Toronto, and Cambridge.
Danny had many jobs over the years but most notably was as a musician, and longtime courier driver. He loved animals, especially his dogs Tucker and Bandit, and absolutely loved to vacation in Puerto Vallarta as well as visiting family in Vermont and Manitoulin Island.
Danny always filled the room with his presence, and he lit up everyone’s spirits wherever he went; whether it was with music, drinks, food or fun conversation – usually all of them combined! He loved people and he loved life!
Family and Friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at Silver Lake Cemetery, at Silver Water on Mantoulin Island on July 8, 2023, at 11 am. Officiated by Rev Janice Frame and Pastor Erwin Thompson. Luncheon following at Silver Water Community Hall with an opportunity to visit, reminisce and share memories of Danny.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Danny in Cambridge for all his friends and family to participate in sharing music, memories, and laughter, remembering a life well lived! The tentative date is Aug 26 but details will follow.
Heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses, doctors and staff who treated him so well at both Toronto General Hospital – 14th floor, and Cambridge Memorial Hospital. His team of drs in Cambridge kept him full of hope and he was fond of all of them – Dr Griffioen, Dr Ali, Dr Martin and Mario W!
