Daniel Orr passed away on October 6, 2024 at Oshawa Hospital.
Dan was born in Greenock, Scotland on September 7, 1955 to Mary and Daniel Orr. Dan lived in Scotland until he was 8 years old when his family moved to Scarborough, Canada. Dan attended RH King high school where he met his future wife Carol. Carol and Dan were married in 1975, and raised a family together. Dan is survived by their two daughters Lindsay, and Jennifer. Dan aka ‘Granda’ also has 4 grandchildren Connor, Lochlan, Bohdi and Talia. He is fondly remembered by his two sisters, Susan and Michele and his sons-in-law Germaine and Chris.
Throughout his life, Dan enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Forever a people person, he formed countless successful partnerships in life and in business. His free time was often spent golfing, skiing or making memories on vacations filled with laughter, good wine and stories that have lasted a lifetime.
Dan’s family would like to invite friends and family to join them, and maybe swap a happy story or two as part of a celebration of life in the Coughlan room at Deer Creek Golf Course on October 15, 2024 between 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm.
