It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful and unexpected passing of Daniel (Dan) Kozun on July 18, 2024.
Dan was born on September 15, 1964 to Regina and Lawrence Kozun in Regina, SK. Dan recently retired from 34 years of teaching in Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, with the last 17 years at Bethlehem Catholic High School. He was lovingly and simply referred to as “Kozun”. Coaching was always an important part of Dan’s life, and it was a way for him to connect with his students. He coached basketball for the entirety of his tenure at Bethlehem, and could often be found in the gym.
Dan is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janice, and his children Melissa and Matthew (Megan). The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love they have received in the days following Dan’s passing.
A private ceremony will be held for family and close friends. An open Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, August 23rd at Bethlehem Catholic High School.
