May 26, 1956 – November 15, 2024
Dale passed away peacefully in his sleep at Humber River Hospital – Wilson Site after a brief illness. He suffered a brain injury due to lack of oxygen to his brain resulting from a cardiac arrest. He was surrounded by both of his siblings, sister (Darlene) and brother (John) holding his hand as he passed from this life to join with the angels.
Dale leaves behind his sister Darlene (Garry) and her family, his brother John (Pat) and his family. He also leaves behind many other family members that loved him dearly and he dearly loved especially Tami and Cassandra. He was predeceased by his sister Terry, Mom, Dad, David, Josh and his beloved wife Ellen Reid.
Dale’s hobbies and interests were many. Starting with his early years as an avid model builder. He painstakingly built model planes and cars and painted them with precision. He proudly displayed them around his home. This also led to his love of watching Formula One racing.
Dale loved camping as a boy scout and later joined the Air Cadets with the hope of one day being a pilot. That never happened because of seizures he suffered as a young child. He was a fun loving prankster and always had a joke to share. He enjoyed the outdoors and particularly golf, he would enter into many tournaments with his golfing buddy – Dad.
He was an avid movie and music buff where he had quite a collection. Dale could easily win any trivia game in those categories
Dale also enjoyed travelling within Canada to Newfoundland with his late wife. They traveled many times together to visit her family.
He was an employee of Rexel Canada Electrical Inc. for over 25 years before retiring in 2021 where he was loved by many co-workers and management alike.
Dale made friends easily where ever he went and it was evident when he entered his final home, the Weston Gardens Retirement Residence. He enjoyed all the outings and special theme night dinners. Staff and residence alike expressed their heartfelt condolences of his passing. He will be missed by them all.
Rest in Peace Dale and golf on with Dad.
