Dale Andrew Spychka
Dale Andrew Spychka, 59, of Edmonton, AB passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in St. Albert, AB.
Dale was born in Peace River, AB to Diana and Roy Spychka on September 27, 1964. Following high school, he worked in the oilfield and studied graphic design. He worked as a graphic designer for Inhouse, RED, and DBB over a 35-year period. Outside of work, he enjoyed photography, hockey, baking, golf, biking, and cross-country skiing.
Dale is survived by his mother, Diana Roper; stepfather, Bill Roper; and stepmother, Edna (Hees) Spychka; siblings, Peggy (Ron) McGaffey, Michele (Rob) Snyder, Kim (Dean) Schlitz, and John (Marie-Josée) Spychka; nephews, Kyle, Andrew and Dimitri; nieces, Cara, Samantha, Nicole and Zoé; grandnieces, Everly, Oaklynn, Rhylee, Beklee and Marley; and grandnephew, Houston; in addition to numerous extended relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Roman “Roy” Spychka.
Dale was a kind, humble, helping, funny, and warm-hearted man who was dearly loved by his family, friends and colleagues.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dale’s work family at DDB, his longtime golf-buddies, Marcel and Doug; Chris Korte for his lifelong friendship and support during this time; and Park Memorial, especially Jordan, for their amazing support.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9707 – 111 Avenue NW, Edmonton, officiated by Enid Dufresne-Dario. Cremation has taken place.
