HILTZ, Daisy Mae – 60, of Clark’s Harbour, formerly of Oak Park, passed away at Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth, on August 4, 2023. Born October 14, 1962 at Sandy Point she was a daughter of George Earl Hopkins and the late Mary Elizabeth Hopkins. Daisy enjoyed yardsaling trips to thrift stores and spoiling her grandson. She was so proud to finally be a gramma and her grandson was the apple of her eyes. She was a fan of watching The Bachelor and Hallmark Channel movies. She was a chocolate lover. She also loved her cats and every single holiday, of which she would cook and decorate for each of them. Daisy had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. She is survived by her father, George Earl Hopkins; husband, Floyd Townsend; daughters, Melissa M. Hiltz (Jay Ferguson), Kelly-Rae Townsend; brother, George Hopkins (Rose); sister, Rose Nickerson (John); and grandson, Finley Robert Ferguson. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. There will be a service held at a later date. Memorial donations in her name may be made to a charity of choice.
