With sadness we announce that Crystal Houle began her journey to the spirit world on January 15, 2023 at Swan Lake First Nation at the age of 30 years.
Crystal leaves behind her partner Jamel Bird, children Tyrie and Cassius Bird of Swan Lake, parents Leslie Abraham Sr. and Delphine Abraham of Long Plain First Nation, in-laws Travis Bird and Trudy Scott, siblings Joanne Abraham, Cheryl (Kyle) Prier, Ashley (Bernie) Houle, Alice Abraham, Stephanie Abraham, Connie Abraham, Timothy Murdock (Robin), Cory Brook (Brian), Leslie Abraham Jr. and David Abraham as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Crystal was born in Winnipeg, MB at the Women’s Pavilion, and graduated high school at MacGregor Collegiate Institute. She was a devoted and loving mother, and all she ever wanted was for her two sons to be healthy, and to see them grow up to be strong, healthy men.
Crystal always took care of everyone else first before looking after herself. She was very smart, and very loyal to her family. Family was very important to her, and she always had everyone’s back, both family and friends. No matter what doorway she came walking through, she came in with a smile and lit up the room. She always loved deep talks, and she always made sure everyone was ok before she left to go home.
Crystal always wanted to be a social worker, her heart was always set out to help children and families and be a good listener.
Crystal enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, and she loved beading earrings. What made her feel complete was being around all her family and friends. She enjoyed many outings with Jordan’s Principle. Crystal and Jamal and her two sons had plans to join the sharing circle to gain strength and grow together.
