Born in den Hague, Netherlands May 29 1936 – May 1 2024
Peacefully surrounded by family and friends, Cornelia passed away early Wednesday morning May 01, 2024. Cornelia was loved by all and will be deeply missed by her friends, church and family. The best mother, grandmother and great grandmother that ever was.
Most loving mother to son Clayton Roemer and daughter Jacqueline Romphf (Scott Romphf). Amazing Oma to Kristie Livingstone(Cory Livingstone), Rob Vanderknaap (Jacquie), Josh Romphf (Kendra), Kelly Romphf (Jon Donald), Derek Gibson (Jaida Watts), Stephanie Roemer, Dylan and Logan Roemer.
Great Oma to Ryder, Sawyer, Cheyenne, Alison, Alexander, River, Indie, Tyson, Maya, Aya, Elijah.
Predeceased by husband Jack Roemer, brother Case Debruyn, sister Gerda Huizinga.
Survived by brother George(Carol) Debruyn and sister Leny VanderKooy.
At Cornelia’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to be held at Compass community church after confirmation of date is made. PLEASE CHECK BACK HERE ONCE DATE AND TIME IS CONFIRMED
Our family would like to sincerely thank all of the healthcare team that delivered so much professional compassionate care to our mother, with special thanks to Lydia and Marlene; such good friends/family.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Strathroy Middle General Hospital can be made in memory of Cornelia.
That which brings us sadness, has once brought us joy.
