Corey Todd Frost, aged 33, of Grand Manan, passed away
peacefully surrounded by his family at the Saint John Regional
Hospital on January 11, 2023. He was born on April 12, 1989 in
Moncton, NB to Farron Frost and Christine Allain. A loving son,
brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Corey is survived by his parents,
Farron (Stephanie) and Christine; siblings Carl (Tatum) and Hayley
(Isaiah); maternal grandmother Marguerite Allain (Bouctouche); aunt
Ethel (Peter) Smith (Bouctouche); niece Kylee and nephew Jack, and
step siblings Cohen and Saul and his puppy, Nugget. Corey is
predeceased by his maternal grandfather Bernard Allain; paternal
grandparents Chubby and Greta Frost and his beloved dog
Remmy.
Being born with Cystic Fibrosis never stopped Corey from
living life to the fullest and being the life of the party.
He loved to laugh and make people smile, whether cracking jokes with
his friends or teasing his family (especially his sister). Corey was
the kindest soul, never judging anyone and going above and beyond to
help anyone that crossed his path. After graduating from
Grand Manan Community School in 2007, he went on to pursue carpentry
at NBCC in Moncton, a passion he shared with his
Pépére. Corey loved being outdoors –
he enjoyed hunting, fishing, buggying and spending time at his camp.
He was an avid Bruins fan and member of the Brookside Golf
Course. Resilient and courageous, Corey underwent two double
lung transplants and was a fighter to his very last
breath.
Corey touched the lives of many people, far and wide, and
will truly be missed by anyone who had the privilege of knowing
him.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff
of the Grand Manan Hospital; and Doctor Oriano Andreani, CF Nurse Beth
MacCready and Nurse Brette at the Saint John Regional
Hospital.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Visitation will be held
at the Immanuel Family Church, Grand Manan, NB on Sunday from 2-4 and
6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at the church on Monday at
1:00 pm with Rev. Ward McComiskey officiating. The interment will be
held at Maple Grove Cemetery in the Spring. In Corey’s memory, the
family would appreciate donations to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or a
charity of the donor’s choice.
