Obituary For Cora Frances Walsh (nee Snow)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cora Frances (Snow) Walsh announce her passing at the Prairie Lake Hospice in Grand Prairie, AB, after a short battle with cancer. She passed away at the age of 75 with her children Mike and Tara by her side.
Cora was born in Bishop Falls, NL on April 19, 1949, to Warwick Norman Snow of Lewisporte, NL, and Clara Florence Snow (nee Brett) of Moreton’s Harbour, NL. Cora was the eldest of four siblings. Cora enjoyed catching a movie at the local theater, where she met the love of her life Alphonsus Gerald Walsh of Bishop Falls, NL, whom she married and had two children.
Cora’s bright smile and infectious laugh lit up our lives and made us all feel at home. She will forever be missed sitting around our tables sharing stories and great memories. Her heart was of pure gold and she wished nothing, but health and happiness for her beloved family. Being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother were titles she held proudly. She cherished her time spent with family. Having her family close by always brought her joy and the biggest smiles, never wanting those special moments to end.
Cora will be deeply missed by her children Tara and Mike (Kelly); grandchildren: Nicole, Shaylyn, Brandon (Maggie) and Sarah (Ryan); great-grandchildren: Maddex, Lincoln, Londyn, Eli, Eloise, Audrey and Livia; brothers Johnny (Linda), Wayne (Paula), Greg (Kathy): as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Cora was predeceased by her beloved husband Alphonsus; and her father, Warwick and mother Clara.
“An angel lived among us, a gift from God above. She showered us with kindness and shared with us her love.”
Forever remembered, forever loved.
As per Cora’s wishes no Funeral service will be held. Burial will be held at a later date.
