With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Clifford (Cliff) Thibert at the F.J. Davey Home on March 22, 2024, at 91 years of age.
Predeceased by Eileen, his wife of 60 years, Cliff leaves behind his sons, Rick (Lynne) and André (Liz), his grandchildren Erica (Jordan), Zachary, Matthew (Megan) and Adam (Kasia), and great-grandchildren Kelly and Aiden.
A special acknowledgment to Heather Nelson, who brought love and friendship to Cliff’s final years.
Cliff was predeceased by his parents, Marie Louise and Ovila Thibert, and his nine siblings. He is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cliff’s life-long passion for music is a legacy he passed along to many young musicians, his sons and grandsons, and anyone who saw him perform.
The family would like to thank the F.J. Davey Home for their care of Cliff. Special thanks to John, Jenn, Mary Grace, and all the 2nd floor Birch staff for your kindness and support.
Per Cliff’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Diabetes Canada or the Alzheimer Society Sault Ste Marie and Algoma District would be appreciated. Payable by cheque or online.
