With heavy
hearts we announce the passing of Clayton Louis McKenna of Iona.
Clayton Passed at the QEH on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, after a
short illness, surrounded by his siblings. Born December 29, 1951,
Clayton was the son of the late Louis and Irene (MacKenzie)
McKenna.
Clayton is
survived by his children, KC McLean, Meghan McKenna, and Clancey
McKenna, as well as the apple of his eye, granddaughter Julia. He is
also survived by brothers Michael (Norma), Blair (Sharon), Danny
(Judy), Anthony (Karen), and David (Jean); sisters Sandra McMullin
(Matt), Marlene McKenna, and Nancy MacLeod (Marty). Clayton is also
survived by many nieces and nephews who were touched by the genuine
interest Uncle Clayton showed them regarding what was happening in
their lives.
Predeceased
by sister Bernice, and brother William Joseph, both in
infancy.
Clayton was
appreciated for his quick wit, tall tales, work ethic, and willingness
to help those in need. He enjoyed working on any type of motor and was
ready and willing to get his hands dirty. Self-taught, and gifted with
a curious mind, there was no mechanical problem Clayton would shy away
from.
Live your
life, laugh again, enjoy yourself, be
free.
Then I know
with every breath you take, you’ll be taking one for
me.
Resting at
Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Sunday, December
22, 2024 from 4 to 6 pm. Funeral Service to be held in the Funeral
Home Chapel on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 10:00 am. Interment to be
held at a later date in Iona Cemetery.
Donations to
the Iona Cemetery would be appreciated.
