In Loving Memory of Claus Demczyna, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, who passed away peacefully on March 5 at the age of 79. He touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity and humour. Claus was a devoted husband of 58 years to June Louise Demczyna, loving father to Angela Teasdale (Michael Teasdale), Natalie Demczyna (Andrew Wishart), Stefan Demczyna (Sue Demczyna). Claus was a proud and doting grandfather to Koy (Emalee Woodcock), Cody and Roben Teasdale, Mason and Mitchell Demczyna and great-grandfather to Kalli Mae Teasdale. He is survived by his siblings Rita Krysak (Dave Geen), Anna Evans (Barry Evans), Teresa Nickason and Terry Demczyna as well as brother and sister-in-law Paul and Lana Sharpe. His memory will be cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him, including the caring staff at Trent Valley Lodge.
Claus had an infinite love of animals and cherished his many pets and grand pets (too many to name)! He was an avid sports follower and an especially big fan of the Belleville Bulls, Guelph Gryphons and Quinte Skyhawks. He loved his many years living on Oak Lake, entertaining and boating or just relaxing in retirement.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 15, 2024 at 10:00am, followed by a memorial service and lunch, at Westminster United Church, 1199 Wallbridge Loyalist Road Belleville ON. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Quinte Humane Society, Parkinsons Canada or Westminster United Church.
