Parcourez la nécrologie de Claude Legault Tuesday March 19th 2024 résidant dans la province Ontario pour le détail des funérailles.
Surrounded by his family, Claude passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on March 19th, 2024 at the Timmins and District Hospital.
Claude was a heavy equipment crane operator for many years, sought out due to his skill. He was proud to say that he helped with the construction of many homes and buildings in this area and others. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and spend time at the cottage; a family oasis that he built himself with the help of his amazing son-in-law Dan and others. He was a long-time member of the Rod and Gun Club of Timmins.
Claude was a very social guy. He always had a story to tell of his adventures; in British Columbia in logging camps; work; and vacations with friends and family. He had a wonderful sense of humour right until the end.
He was a practical inventor, always working at creating tools to make life easier. He was always fixing things, welding, sewing, patching, and had bits/parts for every possible need. His walker was always well equipped, with his many pill bottles filled with screws and other useful items. People who knew him will remember his Mr.-Fix-It abilities. Despite his physical limitations, Claude always found a way to get things done and look at the brighter side of life. He shared a very special bond with his family. His love and dedication will live on forever in our memories.
He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Jeannine (Vincent) Legault; his parents Ernest and Germaine (Periard) Legault; his brothers Jean-Guy and Jean-Marc; his sister Marie Venne; his brothers-in-law Jean Marc Mireault, Arsene Denomme, Clifford Raymond, and Raymond Vincent; and his sisters-in-law Rita Legault and Suzanne Lambert.
He was a loving father to his daughter, Jacqueline Morrish (Dan), and son, Gaetan Legault (Marie-Josee Lafleur). He was also a fiercely proud Pappy to Danielle (Cassidy), Aleksa (Tristan), Renee-Claude, Katrine, Julien, Melissa, and his great-granddaughter Morgan. They were the light of his life.
He leaves behind his sisters Claudette Raymond (Louis), Paulette Mireault, his brother Albert (Susan) Legault as well as Rejean Venne, Valerie Vincent, Rolande Denomme, Leonard Vincent (Jeannine), Henri Vincent, Aurele Lambert (Helene), Roger Vincent (Lynda), Gisele Coles (Doug), Gaetane Vincent (Pierre), and Ginette Ouellette (Alain).
He will be so missed by so many including his friends and neighbours at St. Mary’s Gardens.
The family wishes to thank N.P. Melissa Haylor, as well as Dr. Seb Diebel and the nurses of Med B for their care and compassion.
Respecting his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 1-3p.m. at the LESSARD Reception Centre. Remembrance donations to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences and donations can be made at www.lessardstephens.com
