McCreary, Burton Clare
Everyone’s friend and loving husband of the late Eylene McCreary, Burton Clare McCreary, passed away on Sunday, September 17th , 2023 at Caressant Care Nursing Home in Cobden. Clare was 94 years old and always a positive force in the universe. To fashion one’s life after the principles that Clare lived by and his enduring positivity would be a goal every person should try to emulate. Clare leaves behind his brother Glenn and his wife Karen, and their four sons Paul (Beth), Scott (Penny), Mark (Christy), Lee (Vicky) and great nieces, Maeve, Fiona, and Keva, and the many friends and acquaintances who had, over the years, the pleasure of his company. Clare was predeceased by his wife, Eylene, an infant daughter and his parents Burton Clare and Mary McCreary. Glenn would like to thank the wonderful staff at Caressant Care in Cobden for their loving care of his brother over the past 4 years.
All professional services have been entrusted to the care of Zohr Family Funeral Home, 85 Munroe Avenue E. Renfrew, and in accordance with Clare’s request, there will only be a graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery, Smiths Falls on Friday, September 22nd at 1:30 pm. Also a reception will be held at the Smiths Falls Legion, 7 Main Street E. in Smiths Falls immediately following the service. Stories of Clare’s wonderful life lived are welcomed.
