It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Christos “Risto” Konstantinou on May 6, 2024 at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family. Risto was the beloved husband of Leta for 65 years and a loving father to Maria Minoski (Zoran) and Dino (Melissa). He was a proud Dedo to Anthony (Justine), Jessica (Ivan), Alexandria, Brandon and treasured great-grandson, Max. He was predeceased by his parents Lazor and Eleni, and his siblings Ristana and Sofka. He was also a loving brother-in-law and uncle to many in Windsor, Toronto and Macedonia.
Risto immigrated to Canada in 1967 from Macedonia seeking a brighter future for his family. He dedicated many years to General Motors, retiring to spend more time doing what he loved most- tending to his garden and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Risto was a man of kindness and warmth, who always greeted family and friends with a smile and a ready laugh. His gentle spirit and generous heart will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His family was his world, and he expressed this love in every aspect of his life.
Visitation will be held on Friday May 10, 2024 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm with prayers at 7pm at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841. Visitation will resume Saturday May 11, 2024 from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 11am at St. Nicholas Macedonian Church (5225 Howard Ave.) Burial to follow Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
