Christopher «Chris» Heath Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Chris Heath at the young age of 75 on April 24, 2024.
He will be forever missed by his wife Shirley, and children Jennifer (Jody) and Andrea. Loving Papa to Adam (Amber),
Clhoe (Skylar), Aiden, Aspen, Fletcher, and Paisley, and his favourite pal, CJ his dog.
He was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, and came to Milton 51 years ago, and although he was not a native of this town,
from the moment he arrived he embraced it as his own.
He had a remarkable ability to make strangers feel like old friends and bring people together with humour and his magnetic personality. He especially had a gift for speaking and storytelling.
A dedicated volunteer, Chris tirelessly gave his time, energy, and love to numerous community projects, charities, and organizations – including being a proud member of the 3 O’Clock Club for over 30 years, and a member of the Legion and Optimist Club.
Born with a love of sports, he became a great athlete and played football and hockey, but especially excelled at baseball. Not only was he a great baseball player, he created leagues within the community, coached many teams, and spent almost every weekend over the years with his family and friends at the baseball diamond….and in the beer tent. He was particularly proud of coaching the Milton Mustangs from the time he came to Milton and then even as recently as last year,
He was a proud Canadian and especially loved the outdoors, fishing being his biggest passion. He traveled the globe, North, South, Mexico, Africa, and everywhere in between catching fish and making friends.
He touched many hearts and contributed so much to his community and his legacy will live on forever.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be on Sat. May 18th, 2024 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the
Royal Canadian Legion Milton Branch #136, which is located at 21 Charles St. Milton, ON L9T 2G5.
Donations in Chris’s name are welcome to be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
