Christopher Best Obituary
Passed away peacefully at Chapman House on Monday, May 27, 2024. Born on April 9, 1965, Christopher Scott Best of Owen Sound was in his 60th year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Christine Best (nee McCullough) of Owen Sound for 33 years. Proud father of Erin Best, Alisha Currie (Justin), Tara Killam (Keith) and Jackie Best (Mike Woodrow). Treasured grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Cherished son of Marian Best (nee Brown) and stepson of Don Borland. Loving brother of Gwen Campbell (Bill), Brad Best (Linda) and Jeff Best (Michelle). Christopher will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Predeceased by his father Fred Best and his in-laws Joe and Catherine Bechard.
Christopher built a career as a Foreman at Fox North Contracting Company for many years. He had a passion for music and would often be found working sound jobs for music festivals in his spare time. Christopher found immense joy in playing his bass and guitar but found the most enjoyment while singing with his friends.
In keeping with Christopher’s wishes, cremation is taking place and a celebration of Chris’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Branch 6, 1450 2nd Ave. W., Owen Sound, on Friday, June 21, 2024, beginning at 6 p.m. Words of remembrance will be shared throughout the evening. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
