It is with our deepest sorrow to announce the passing of Christine Fay Dillabough. Christine passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 19, 2023 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook at the age of 58 after a long battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband Lyle, children Chelsea and Cole, mother Beverley and siblings Wayne (Carol), Doug (Amy), Barb (Pat), Bob (Gwen), Kenny, Richard (Annette), Lawrence, Janet, Cindy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father William Charles Cunningham, grandparents Ray and Marjorie Kaiser, and William and Margaret Cunningham and several aunts and uncles.
Chris was born June 17, 1965 at Peace River Hospital. She graduated from Grande Prairie Composite High School in 1983. Over the years she worked multiple jobs.
In 1986 she met the love of her life and her future husband, Lyle. They were married 2 years later in Grande Prairie in 1988. Lyle and Chris had met through Lyle’s sister Leslie, who Chris had played soccer with for a couple of years. In 2001 they welcomed the birth of their children, Chelsea and Cole.
Chris loved to play sports, play cards, travel, and go to the casino, but her real passion was buying and selling antiques.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
