BRETTELL, Christine – Surrounded by the love of her family, Christine passed away on Wednesday, May 24th, 2023 at 55 years of age. Cherished daughter of Carol and the late Don Brettell. Beloved spouse of Andre Tanguay. Loving mother of Rachelle (James), Nicole, Cameron, Tyler(Olivia) and Spencer (Tiffany). Devoted grandma of Max, Kae and Sloane. Dear sister of Scott (Christine) and the late Steven. Christine will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Christine was employed as Associate Director of Care at Portal Village. She took pride in going above and beyond every time she went to work. Taking care of others came so naturally to her. Her patients not only felt cared for but loved.
The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Lee and Nicole, Dr. Conen and Marti from the Walker Family Cancer Clinic. Also for the great care she received from Jocelyne and Kim from ParaMed.
Following Christine’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Memorial donations in Christine’s memory may be made to the Walker Family Cancer Centre.
